Saturday Sample and Weekend Writing Warriors: Never Trust a Pretty Wolf

Welcome to Saturday Sample and Weekend Writing Warriors. Today we'll continue to share excerpts from Never Trust a Pretty Wolf. On Sunday when you finish here, do go to http://www.wewriwa.blogspot.com for more excerpts from a bunch of great authors.

Blurb:
Liesel Wolf has a secret, a dangerous secret she’ll go to any lengths to conceal. When she’s paired in a charity game with sexy marshal Andy Bryce, a man with secrets of his own, her carefully constructed world comes crashing down, and Liesel’s on a collision course with her past.

Excerpt:
Chapter One

Last Week
Of course Tony’s in- laws could drive a man to drink, but still... He looked around, but he didn’t see Ms. Wolf’s car. Good. Maybe she decided not to come. If so, he could go home and forget everything. No such luck.

He saw the blue Mustang sitting at the red light. When the light changed, Liesel wheeled into the parking lot. The minute she opened the car door, Andy started to do a slow burn. Today she wore jeans and a tight yellow tee shirt that hugged her breasts and looked so good on her his mouth started to water.

This week: We're in Andy's POV

  1. Well, we can see who is running the show. Wonder how long it will take Andy to have a backbone?? :-)

  4. Seems she's going for the all practical approach this morning. Probably wants to get it over with as fast as possible but of course you, the creatively sneaky author, undoubtedly have all kinds of complications planned! Love the story so far, terrific snippet!

  5. She seems determined to take charge. What does he think about that?

  6. She continues to assume command, I notice -- and he's starting to notice her feminine allure!

  7. She's a take-charge kind of woman. I'm curious how breakfast will play out.

  8. She's got a point about skipping lunch. It will give them an advantage. However, I'm sure she just wants to get it over with as quickly as possible. I think she's going to end up wanting to finish the competition and to spend more time with Andy. Great snippet!
