Saturday Sample and Weekend Writing Warriors: Never Trust a Pretty Wolf

Welcome to Saturday Sample and Weekend Writing Warriors. Today we'll continue to share excerpts from Never Trust a Pretty Wolf. On Sunday when you finish here, do go to http://www.wewriwa.blogspot.com for more excerpts from a bunch of great authors.

Blurb:
Liesel Wolf has a secret, a dangerous secret she’ll go to any lengths to conceal. When she’s paired in a charity game with sexy marshal Andy Bryce, a man with secrets of his own, her carefully constructed world comes crashing down, and Liesel’s on a collision course with her past.

Excerpt:
Chapter One

Last Week

They might have flawed, uncut diamonds.”

“I don’t think they’d post coordinates in a store,” Andy objected.

Liesel killed a mosquito on her hand and wiped the nasty thing on her jeans. “Hey! What about the nature center? I’ll bet they have snakes. Haven’t you heard of diamondback rattlesnakes before?”

“It makes as much sense as anything else we’ve thought of.” He winced. “Uh, who gets to put their hand in the snake cage?”

This week: I've picked up where we left off last week.  Liesel speaks first.

  1. Good that they're thinking along a number of lines. Clues can be so tricky.

  2. I'm impressed at the way they're trying to think outside the box, so to speak. Great snippet!

  3. They're definitely smart to keep looking there just in case.

  4. Whew! They really need to leave no stone unturned for this wild hunt! :-)

    Good writing!

No post for me this week. :-) I'll be back next week--good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise. ;-)

  5. Of course it's not as easy as finding a patch of blue flowers. You're making it harder on them than that!

  6. I signed up for a charity scavenger hunt this week and your characters have me very, very nervous about it.
