The job completed, Liesel followed Andy up the steep trail toward the opening in the rock. She glared at his back. He didn’t even sound winded while she was puffing like a steam engine.
Once they reached the rock he thrust his hand into the crack. “Look at this. The opening is bigger than I thought. I think there’s a little cave back there.”
Liesel eyed the cave. “I don’t like caves. There might be snakes in there; if there’s one thing I hate, it’s a snake.”
