Why I Love...
Today's why I love topic is My Favorite Character. This is almost an impossible topic! I've been a reader since I was a child, and I've read a lot of books. Lately, though, I've been reading The Bronze Horseman series by Paulina Simons. Her heroine Tatiana is one of my favorites. Tatiana lives in Leningrad during the siege of Leningrad back in World War II. In spite of her entire family dying she endures and finds true love with American born Alexander Barrington. I like her refusal to give in to fate and her self sacrificing nature. I also like that she doesn't know the meaninfpg of the word impossible. She's the kind of woman I'd like to be myself. I plan to start this book every week and then something comes up and I change my mind. I love reading novels set during WWII because the characters tend to be so gritty and inspirting.
