Six Sentence Sunday

Today's excerpt from Her Kind of Man picks up where last week left off. Kara has just returned from her sister's wedding and is in the process of destroying her own wedding dress. Why? Because her sister took her fiance away and married him.  Her Kind of Man is available at http://www.lachesispublishing.com/proddetail.asp?prod=HerKindofMan

She threw the dress to the floor and stepped on the hem to hold it down while she tried to rip the bodice from the skirt. The expensive, well-sewn gown gave way so abruptly Kara staggered and fell to the floor among the debris.

What had she done? Sanity returned with a rush, and sickening shame soon followed. Hands shaking, she bundled the destroyed dress into the plastic cover and dropped to the floor to search for pearls and buttons.

Her breath came in gasps.
