Six Sentence Sunday: The Sentence

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday.  Today's excerpt comes from The Sentence.  My hero Clint Hayes has been thinking about the difference in his life and my heroine's.

Clint’s heart gave an unfamiliar little leap. He wondered what it would have been like to have a father you’d do anything for. Would things have been different for him and his mother if his father hadn’t died? Maybe they’d live across town in a nice little house with a fireplace. Maybe he’d have graduated from school and gone on to find a good job. He might even have a family of his own.

  4. What a wistful passage. I'm betting that he gets that family before everything's over and done. I like how your passage tells me about his girlfriend's family as well as his past life.
