Snippet Sunday and Weekend Writing Warriors

We know that Susan won her bet with Robin when Kurt asked her to go to a party with him. Unfortunately, Kurt and Susan had too much tequila and ended up spending the night with their host. This is the last excerpt from The Captain and the Cheerleader. We'll be moving on to something else next week. If you've liked the book, you can pick it up at http://amzn.to/1NDgnrg. Thanks for following along with me. You can find more excerpts at:

Excerpt:

When Kurt hugged her back, she kissed him. He was so handsome she couldn’t help it. Kurt didn’t seem to mind. Judging by the little moan he made, he liked her kisses.

She closed her eyes against a sudden onslaught of feeling as the hugging and kissing intensified. Kurt Deveraux was something else! She made no protest when he cupped her bottom and pulled her intimately against him. At the moment, the tequila was firmly in charge.

  1. Too funny. Watch it with the drink, honey. A good kisser is not enough.

  5. The tequila overwhelmed them both all right! But it was clear they were so well suited and attracted to each other...have enjoyed the story very much. Another great snippet...

  6. Funny how a little alcohol can take over the situation. Do you know the song by Joe Nichols - Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off. Just saying... :)

  7. When Tequila is in charge, there will be headaches and regrets in the morning (and possibly nausea, if you're lucky). Very cute story!

  8. Tequila is always in charge! I think that what will follow was almost inevitable - given the circumstances. Hope they don't regret it in the morning.

  9. But in the next moment I wonder who will be in charge? Good point in the ending there!

  10. Tequila will surely get you into trouble if there is too much into play.

  11. Sounds like they may regret this tequila-fueled decision in the morning. Then again, maybe not. Who knows?

  12. The tequila, perhaps ... but with a strong assist from passion and an innocent passion in him as a person.
