Saturday Sample: Fortuna

Welcome to Saturday Sample. I'm sharing excerpts from my romantic fantasy Fortuna. We're picking up today where we left off last week. Rocky a WWE style wrestler has gone into the ring to wrestle another man name Cade McCoy. Aimee is watching the action from the side of the ring when Cade slips under the ring ropes and grabs a chair and smashes it on Rocky. Don't forget that most of the scenes in the book were based on real life events.

Excerpt:

Don’t panic. Don’t panic. Don’t panic.

Cade paraded around the ring, jeering at the audience and gloating over Rocky’s fall. Rocky should have gotten to his feet by now, but he hadn’t moved a muscle. Cade strutted across the ring and kicked his leg. Hard. Rocky didn’t move.

Aimee didn’t realize she had gotten to her feet and was moving until she bumped into the ring. “Rocky, get up,” she screamed, her voice reverberating around the now strangely silent arena. 

Readers, it seems like we got to this point awfully fast, so I hope I didn't skip a few pages. I hope not, but you can always follow the action on Sunday as well. I'm doing excerpts from Fortuna then as well.
