Last week we saw that Rocky is a wrestler who'd waiting to go into the ring. Aimee is fiancee, and Rich is his manager.

Rich’s lips thinned. Not that they weren’t thin enough already. The man was a lipless wonder. “This is the Los Angeles Wrestling Association, Aimee. LAWA teaches the guys how to do the moves without hurting themselves. You have no reason to worry.” He sighed. “We’ve talked about this before.”

Aimee didn’t deign to answer.

Blurb:

Aimee Sherwood never dreamed that following her fiancĂ© into the witness protection pro-gram would land her in a haunted house in a town that’s downright creepy. She’d have laughed if she had been told the guy who lives down the road might be her soul mate, not the man whose ring she’s wearing. Life in West Virginia is nothing like life in Los Angeles, but between bean ball battles with Marilyn Monroe, remodeling a crumbling farmhouse, and starting a new online business, life in the country is anything but boring.

Remember than most events in the book are based on things that actually happened to me or my family.

  5. She's certainly worried about something - whatever the lipless wonder claims!

  7. I have to wonder why she's dating a wrestler if she's that unhappy about it. And I really don't like Rich, lips or no lips.

  8. I hate thin lips, I must confess. Not quite sure where wrestling comes into this, but looking forward to finding out more.

  9. Of course, practice doesn't mean mistakes don't happen. And the more dangerous they act, the better the chances of something going wrong...

  14. Rich sounds quite bossy and put out by Aimee. I wonder where this is going to lead, but can't help but wonder why she's with someone who wrestles if it bothers her so much. How'd these two even meet then?

  15. Daelyn, Aimee was a waitress who served Rocky. He liked her and gave her a job in his wrestling show.
