Saturday Sample and Weekend Writing Warriors: Never Trust a Pretty Wolf

Welcome to Saturday Sample and Weekend Writing Warriors. Today we'll continue to share excerpts from Never Trust a Pretty Wolf. On Sunday when you finish here, do go to http://www.wewriwa.blogspot.com for more excerpts from a bunch of great authors.

Blurb:
Liesel Wolf has a secret, a dangerous secret she’ll go to any lengths to conceal. When she’s paired in a charity game with sexy marshal Andy Bryce, a man with secrets of his own, her carefully constructed world comes crashing down, and Liesel’s on a collision course with her past.

Excerpt:
Chapter One

Last Week

Liesel’s shirt stuck to her back while a river of sweat ran between her breasts. Andy didn’t look any better. Okay, rethink that. Andy’s shirt was stuck to him too, giving Liesel a good look at his chest. Where did the man get those muscles? The temptation to touch him struck her out of nowhere. What’s wrong with me? She knew better than to take any sort of interest in a marshal.

Andy paused for a moment. “Let’s stop and catch our breath.”

This week: I've skipped ahead to when they reach the coordinates.

  1. Hmm, I wonder where the next clue is. I hope they find it without creating any more tension between them.

  4. Well the hunt can't be made too easy or what's the point, right? I like the fact they're having a bit of a challenge. Great snippet!

  5. If I were them, I'd probably be getting irritated with whoever thought to lead them all the way up there and then bury the next clue as well.

  7. I got a kick out of her sarcastic comment about being in a forest.

  8. I think that they should keep looking. A wise man once said, "when you're least expecting it, expect it."
