We know that Susan won her bet when Kurt asked her to go with him to a party. Today they have just arrived at the party where Kurt is joking around with their host and leads him to believe that he and Susan are involved. Susan took Kurt to task, and he got out of trouble by asking her to dance. When the dance ended they had some punch that Kurt warned her had tequila in it.

Excerpt:

Tequila? She wouldn’t contradict him, but she didn’t taste alcohol at all. Alcohol tasted bad, but this punch was so yummy she might have a second glass.

The rest of the evening passed in a blur. Susan couldn’t remember when she’d had such a good time. The musicians should try for a recording contract, and the food must have been catered, especially the punch. It was that good. The people were nice too. No telling how many new friends she had made.

Blurb:
Susan English can’t stand Robin Lanford! She’s so full of herself she irritates everyone on the faculty of Fairfield High. When Robin bets Susan fifty dollars that she can’t get a date with Kurt Deveraux, the head football coach, Susan jumps at the chance to put the little heifer in her place. She had no idea that teaching Robin a lesson would irrevocably change her life, strain treasured friendships, and throw two families into chaos.

  2. Oh goodness, I bet she's never had a great time like that before! Great characterization here. Sure am curious how much she remembers by the next day, if anything! :-)

Putting on my mod hat, could you please change the WeWriWa website address to read www.wewriwa.com? And if you could make it a live link that would be extra helpful and wonderful, but the spelling is the important part. Thanks so much Elaine :-)

  16. Is this going to be one of those times where everything goes great and then just suddenly crashes in the end? I think the punch is going to her head a little bit.
