For the last few months I've been sharing excerpts from Turnaround Farm, but today I'm sharing from another book, Never Trust a Pretty Wolf. We'll begin with Chapter One. I'm posting the same thing I posted last Sunday because I forgot to sign up. So forgive me if you've already read this.

Blurb:
Liesel Wolf has a secret, a dangerous secret she’ll go to any lengths to conceal. When she’s paired in a charity game with sexy marshal Andy Bryce, a man with secrets of his own, her carefully constructed world comes crashing down, and Liesel’s on a collision course with her past.

  4. This sounds like the beginning of a tense (and interesting) partnership! All sorts of questions created in such a short exchange.

  5. I'd say he's reading her correctly. She's not at all happy with him. I wonder if she knows the something in his past he's referring to, or if there's another reason entirely. Great snippet!

  6. Well the hand wiping thing seems excessive and rude. She needs to get a better grip on her emotions here because all she's doing is making him more curious! Great snippet...

  7. I wonder what's her problem? Have I missed something?

Great first meeting. Sets up all kinds of questions!

Merry Christmas, Elaine! I hope you have a wonderful holiday. :-)
