Sweet Saturday Sample

Welcome to my blog!  In today's sample my heroine's friend Julie tells her something terrible about my hero Rob.  The Table in the Window is available at Amazon or Barnes and Noble

Marley flinched. “That’s a lie. How dare you say such things about Rob?”

“Because they’re true.” Julie’s lip curled. “Ask him if you don’t believe me.”

Rob approached their table with two cups on a tray. Julie had lied. She had to have lied.
.
He set the tea in front of Marley. “Ladies, I recommend the chicken.”

Marley jumped from her seat. In a move eerily reminiscent of the day Michael broke up with her, she bumped into Rob and almost made him spill Julie’s coffee. “Call me later,” she whispered in his ear. “We have to talk.”

I'm REALLY curious about what Julie said about Rob and whether or not it is true. Terrific scene!

You just had to leave out what Rob did, didn't you. ;-) Great job conveying Marley's confusion and denial. I'm looking forward to more!

What a tease you are and rob doesn't yet know what's about to hit him.
Great sample. Lots of unanswered questions.

Oh, poor Marley! I know they're going to work it out, but you feel for the characters as they go through the rough patches. Thanks for sharing.

I feel sorry for Rob! I wonder what the secret is, and hopefully it's something Marley can forgive him for. Yikes...
