Marley flinched. “That’s a lie. How dare you say such things about Rob?”
“Because they’re true.” Julie’s lip curled. “Ask him if you don’t believe me.”
Rob approached their table with two cups on a tray. Julie had lied. She had to have lied.

He set the tea in front of Marley. “Ladies, I recommend the chicken.”Marley jumped from her seat. In a move eerily reminiscent of the day Michael broke up with her, she bumped into Rob and almost made him spill Julie’s coffee. “Call me later,” she whispered in his ear. “We have to talk.”
