Wait! Don't Read That Letter!

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday. Thanks for taking the time to visit me. For the last few Sundays we've been following Kara Cochrane, my heroine in Her Kind of Man. Kara came back from her sister's wedding and shredded her own wedding gown. Why? Because her sister stole her fiance and married him. She took the dress into the attic to hide it and found an old trunk to put it in.

blurb:
Is it possible she’s finally found Her Kind of Man?

Ross Williams has been in love with Kara Cochrane since they were kids so when Kara's fiancĂ© Brandon Miles cheats on her and calls off their wedding—Ross steps in to rescue the damsel in distress.

A heartbroken Kara just wants to get on with her life and hunky Ross provides her with a definite distraction—that is until she starts falling for him. Big time.

But a devastating family secret threatens to destroy everything that Kara holds dear—including her relationship with Ross.

Sentences:

She heaved the lid open and saw nothing but a few old letters and papers. A return address on one of the envelopes caught her eye. Aunt Rebecca had sent the letter to her mother. Aunt Rebecca had been dead for a long time. She had moved to Texas years ago, and for a time her parents had lived there too. In fact, Kara had been born in Texas.

Interesting. I wonder what will be in that letter. Did Aunt Rebecca know some earth-shattering secret? Is she still alive? Is she a colossal embarrassment to the family? So many questions. Intriguing six!

Uh-oh, I'm sensing nothing good is going to come from this letter, especially knowing she was born there. Intriguing 6!
