Blurb:
If up and coming realtor Holly Grant can buy Turnaround Farm for her client, her business will boom. Who says you have to have a man in your life to complete you? She’s fine as she is thank you very much. Her first problem is that Jeb Wakefield doesn’t want to sell his farm, and her second problem is Jeb’s grandson Dan, the finest looking man Holly’s ever seen.
Excerpt: Chapter One
Last week
She fished in her bag for her phone and handed it to Loretta. “Mr. Wakefield, I know I should have called before I came out here, but I was so excited I couldn’t wait to see you. The developer who wants to buy your farm just made another offer for your property. Unless I miss my guess, you’ll be very pleased with it.”
“I thought my grandfather had made it clear Turnaround Farm isn’t for sale.”
Jeb grinned as Holly’s eyes went wide. Miss Grant had forgotten about Dan, but by the look on her face, she really liked what she saw. Well, why wouldn’t she like his looks?

This Week: We begin where we left off last week. Holly is speaking first.
Oh, grandpa has a plan! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat descriptions!
Happy 2019, Elaine. :-)
A granddad matchmaker . . . Love it! Starting the New Year on a high note, Elaine!
ReplyDeleteLots of things in the air in this snippet, between what the grandfather is thinking (he's a rapscallion matchmaker for sure) and what Dan and Holly are thinking...really enjoyed the excerpt.
ReplyDeleteDo I detect a bit of sly matchmaking in progress here?
ReplyDeleteI like how you managed to fit so much internal feeling from all three of them into a short snippet.
ReplyDeleteGrandpas aren't usually matchmakers, but there's no law against it. Sounds like he doesn't have much work to do! Nice snippet!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the interactions between Holly and Dan!
ReplyDeleteAha! Mutual attraction. Can't wait to read more.
ReplyDeleteI sense some match making coming! :)
ReplyDeleteHah! I would not have expected Grandpa to be the matchmaker here.
