Every December my characters take over my blog so I can have a vacation. Let's see what they're up to.
Hey, readers. Nikki Lane here. (The Best Selling Toy of the Season) Look what Elaine and her family have been up to. They've had a wreath making competition, and they want their online friends to vote on the winner. So, look at the pictures and pick the one you like best. Thanks!

Fashionista Friday: Pick a Dress
Kathryn and Hank, my hero and heroine from Blue 52 are going on a date. They'll eat at a trendy, popular pizza place, and then they'll stroll down River Walk, window shopping and looking at the falls which are near the pizza place. What do you think Kathryn should wear? Vote for dress one-the red dress with the blue belt and pattern. Dress two the stripped dress in the middle, or dress three the red print. Just leave your choice in the comments section, and, I'll choose someone to get a free copy of Blue 52. I really think you'll like Hank and Kathryn. I'd go with the stripe myself. I think it would look pretty with white, flat sandals and a white bag.

Fashionista Friday: Sale! #WIN
Welcome to Fashionista Friday. I have two pieces of good news today. First, and I've very excited about it, Her Kind of Man is on sale this weekend for only .99. Yes you read it right. Only .99 for a book that The Romance Reviews designated a True Gem. It's available on Bookstrand, All Romance Ebooks, and Amazon as well as most other online retail outlets. Buy the book and email me confirmation of purchase, and I'll enter your name in a contest to win a copy of my latest release The Enchanted. Email confirmations to admin@elainecantrell.comMy second piece of news concerns New York Fashion Week. Plus sized ladies, Eden Miller who designs plus size clothing was invited to participate this year. It's about time! Not everyone is a size 0, and I have no idea how anyone over a size 10 could be considered plus sized. Who cares about size anyway? It's how things look on you that matters. How do you like these plus size dresses? I love them.

Beyond the Book: So Darn Cute!
Welcome to Beyond the Book. My name is Elizbeth Lane, and I was Elaine's heroine in Return Engagement. My sweet husband Richard gave me an Easter gift on Sunday. What do you think of it?
I love animals. We always had a dog or cat when I was growing up. My old dog, a pretty German Shepherd mix died last summer, and up until recently I just didn't have the heart for another dog, but I just melted when Richard brought this little sweetheart home. He got the puppy from a local animal shelter. We don't believe in buying puppies when so many good dogs need homes. In fact, Richard-he's a senator-has sponsored a lot of legislation to stop animal cruelty.
April is Animal Cruelty Awareness Month. Elaine loves animals too, so I'm sure you'll be hearing more about her animal friends. If you'd like to win a copy of Return Engagement help me name the puppy. Anyone who leaves a name will be entered into the contest for a PDF copy of my book.

Beyond the Book: Want to Win?
Hello,
readers, my name is Marley Matthews. My
husband Rob and I are Elaine’s characters in her Christmas novella, The Table in
the Window. I’m feeling very generous
today, so I think I’m going to give away a copy of our book. To win the book, read the excerpt below and
then answer the following question in the comments section. That’s it. (In case you were wondering, this was one of the worst moments of my life.)
Question:
What did I
say when I took off Michael’s ring and slid it across the table?
His eyes
briefly met hers before they slid away. “Yes, you do. I’m sorry, Marley, but I
can’t marry you after all.”
Marley tried
to speak and failed. What could she say anyway?
She couldn’t force him to marry her.
“I tried not
to care for Heather, but I couldn’t help myself. Her father is Milton Stuart.
He’s the one who introduced us. You remember Milton. He’s the senior partner at
Stuart, Byers, and Hayes. When I’m with her…” he paused. “I’m sorry.”
Marley took
off his ring and slid it across the table without a word. He picked it up,
tossed some money on the table, and strode out of the restaurant without a
backward glance.
She watched
him through the rain-streaked window as he waited for the light to change
before he crossed the street. Above his head, a silver bell covered in holly
tied with a red, plastic bow proclaimed the joys of the season. The light
changed, and he was gone, no doubt to tell the mysterious Heather he was now a
free man.
