Ross’s eyes met hers with a hot glint that made Kara’s breath quicken. “Kara, I’m truly sorry for any heartache this causes you. I want to be a comfort to you, but it’s hard to keep my mind on a cancelled wedding when a woman wearing a pair of pants that are probably a sin is driving me totally out of my mind.” He slid across the sofa and kissed her.
Hadn’t he listened to her? Why did he think she… Rational thought deserted Kara as she submitted to his kiss. Ross Williams who couldn’t put two words together in her presence was kissing her with such passion and abandonment it drove all thoughts of Kelly and Brandon’s betrayal from her mind.
Ross raised his head long enough to murmur, “Forget about the past. It’s over and done with.”
