In last week's excerpt we learned that Rocky a WWE type wrestler learned to play the bagpipes for the crowd before the match began. Today they've reached the ring and Rocky's show has started.
Excerpt:
With the focus off her, Aimee relaxed a little. Thank goodness
nobody’s staring at me now. I hate the outfits Rocky wants me to wear.
‘Your clothes are a part of my stage personality,’ he said. He wants me to
look like a party girl.
She glared at the dress. It was made of spandex covered in electric blue sequins and was so short it was dangerous to sit down. Not only that, her boobs would probably fall out of the bodice any time now. The horrible dress had been designed to push up the assets.

I like this snippet, Elaine. No mincing words. Yikes--I wouldn't want to wear such a gaudy thing, and my boobs would probably fall out of it too. lol
ReplyDeleteWell, at least her dress is blue. ;-)

Love it big! and in blue yet. Terrific, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYeah that doesn't sound like the most comfortable outfit ever. ;)

ReplyDeleteI don't blame her feelings on the costume she had to wear. It sounds quite tacky, and would have been even more embarrassing if her boobs had fallen out.
So, what sort of outfit would she prefer to wear?
ReplyDeleteAurora, something a little longer and not so low cut. It's perfect for the wrestling show, though.
ReplyDeleteI guess it comes down to why did she agree to be in the show? Good snippet, Elaine. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'd have told him exactly where he could put that outfit!
ReplyDelete"Your clothes are part of my stage personality." Well, THAT sums up some of the problem very nicely! Interesting excerpt...
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a wrestling-style dress. Anything more modest just wouldn't work.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame she's so unhappy in her outfit--and that he won't let her wear something more comfortable for her!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't think I'd be all that happy with a costume like that, either.
ReplyDeleteI guess we know a lot more about them both from this scene and we're about to learn a lot more from what comes next I suspect.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to the stage appearance to ruin the happiness of fashion. Maybe she should try owning the look sometime and see if she likes it a little better. LOL.
