Blurb:
If up and coming realtor Holly Grant can buy Turnaround Farm for her client, her business will boom. Who says you have to have a man in your life to complete you? She’s fine as she is thank you very much. Her first problem is that Jeb Wakefield doesn’t want to sell his farm, and her second problem is Jeb’s grandson Dan, the finest looking man Holly’s ever seen.

Excerpt: Chapter One
Last week

“Why are you out in weather like this?” He stood aside and gestured for them to hurry out of the cold. “Come in and get warm. You look frozen.”

“We are frozen,” Loretta wailed as she and Holly entered the warm kitchen. “Our car slid off the road into a ditch, and it’s sleeting and snowing something awful.” She paused to shake off her plaid scarf, scattering sleet and snow on the scuffed wooden floor. “I don’t know how we’re ever going to get home tonight.”

“Loretta, please,” Holly begged. “You’re out of the cold now, and as far as getting home goes, use my  phone to call a tow truck.”

This Week: We begin where we left off last week. Holly is speaking first.

  1. Yes, a call would have saved her some trouble because i'm sure he's going to say no again! But then Holly wouldn't have met Dan...interesting snippet!

  2. She definitely should have called before she drove all the way out--and slid off the road. Still, a tow truck might not make it until morning and spending the night in the same house as Dan could be a good thing. :) Nice snippet!

  3. Ah, the self-delusions of an over-eager salesperson. It seems she's about to learn that money isn't quite as important to him as she hopes.

  4. Uh-oh. Awkward. Well, if she's a good salesperson, she won't push too hard, but try another angle.

  5. Yeah, liking his looks and liking what he has to say aren't the same thing at all! I'm guessing they made that trek for nothing.

  6. Too eager. She would turn me off in a heartbeat. I hope she discovers that money isn't everything. Sure helps to have it, though. Good snippet.

  7. I wonder what she's going to do next. Nice snippet.
