
In some ways I don't think Scarlett deserves her reputation as a bad girl. Come on. Would you rather she have let a deserter burn Tara to the ground? Would you rather she have let Jonas Wilkerson take Tara away? Still, I must admit she did some awful things. Taking your sister's fiance is kinda bad, and so is selling cheap lumber for good. (I have a book coming out soon titled One Woman Man, and in that book my heroine loses her fiance to her sister.)
My heroines don't have to be perfect though. I like to read and write about flawed characters which is why I like Scarlett and Rhett. After all, perfection is boring.
