Blurb:
If up and coming realtor Holly Grant can buy Turnaround Farm for her client, her business will boom. Who says you have to have a man in your life to complete you? She’s fine as she is thank you very much. Her first problem is that Jeb Wakefield doesn’t want to sell his farm, and her second problem is Jeb’s grandson Dan, the finest looking man Holly’s ever seen.
Excerpt: Chapter One
Last week
“Hey, turn around. What’s on the back of your shirt?”
Dan shrugged. “Blood, I guess.”
“What happened?”
“Aw, I got careless, and one of the horses pushed me into a nail.”
“Let me see.” Jeb took his grandson’s shoulder and turned his back around to the light. There was an awful lot of blood on his shirt. “Take your shirt off, and let me see what you’ve done. You don’t want to get an infection.”

This Week: We begin where we left off last week. Dan speaks first.
You always pull me right into the scene. So natural.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, so casual about it all! But at least he was thorough (and that up to date tetanus shot is a plus). My late husband stepped on a rusty nail on the day 10 years EXACTLY from the date of his last tetanus shot and refused to go get another one. So stubborn! Of course he was fine and lived a number of years thereafter with no problem from said rusty nail. Great snippet!
ReplyDeleteGreat snippet! :D
ReplyDeleteGotta love having someone capable on hand!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's matter-of-fact but accurate enough first aid treatment.
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me he's dealt with more than one wound in his lifetime.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least he seems to know what he's doing! Good job as Dan doesn't seem to bothered about caring for himself - just as well he's up to date on his tetanus shots.
ReplyDeleteGlad his tetanus shot was up to date. Anything rusty is nothing to fool around with. Good snippet.
