Chapter One
Last Week
This week: Andy and Liesel find Melton's first communication. Liesel speaks first.
“No, I don’t see anything.”
Andy shrugged. “It was worth a shot.” He picked up the can to put it back in the rack.
“Wait,” Liesel cried. “I see something taped to the bottom.”
She jerked a plastic envelope off the bottom of the trash can and took out a sheet of laminated pink paper. “Congratulations,” she read aloud. “You have found the next set of coordinates.”
After copying the coordinates onto the edge of her map, they put the envelope back where they had found it.

It's good that they work in pairs. He might have missed it working alone. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood book, Elaine! :-)
She might not like working with him, but it seems they make a good team.

ReplyDeleteA good team often works well...or not!
Glad after all that they found something.
ReplyDeleteThey are working together more smoothly now.
ReplyDeleteCunningly hidden! Glad they at least had the integrity to replace the envelope properly and not move it :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! Teamwork at last! But will it last?
ReplyDeleteAnd the game goes on! Enjoyed the snippet - this is such a fun idea for a story.
ReplyDeleteThe search continues! Good thing she has sharp eyes. Looking forward to seeing where they go next.
ReplyDeleteThey can move on to the next clue. Good thing they noticed it.
ReplyDeleteThis is where the game becomes fun--or it should. And they seem to be doing better together. I just hope it lasts for Andy's sake. Tweeted.
