Saturday Sample and Weekend Writing Warriors: Never Trust a Pretty Wolf

Welcome to Saturday Sample and Weekend Writing Warriors. Today we'll continue to share excerpts from Never Trust a Pretty Wolf. On Sunday when you finish here, do go to http://www.wewriwa.blogspot.com for more excerpts from a bunch of great authors.

Blurb:
Liesel Wolf has a secret, a dangerous secret she’ll go to any lengths to conceal. When she’s paired in a charity game with sexy marshal Andy Bryce, a man with secrets of his own, her carefully constructed world comes crashing down, and Liesel’s on a collision course with her past.

Excerpt:
Chapter One

Last Week

The box opened easily. “Look at this, Liesel.”
Liesel saw a blue pouch inside the metal box. Andy loosened
the drawstring and poured the contents out. “Diamonds,” he said.

Liesel rolled her eyes. “You know they aren’t real. What kind of clue is this? He didn’t give us any coordinates.”

“The diamonds must show the way to the place where the coordinates are found.”

This week: I've picked up where we left off last week.

  4. I enjoy the clues and their attempts to work through to the right meaning. This GPS caching treasure hunt is fun to read. Another great snippet!

  5. The more they have to work together like this, the more the barriers between them will crumble, so this scene works on multiple levels.

  6. A fun read--listening to them reason out the clues. :-)

  7. They're slowly coming together. Now I wonder if the next clue will continue that or irritate them enough to force them back apart.
