As the minutes ticked by, the nature center sounded more and more appealing. It would be cool there. They could probably buy some cold water too. A mosquito buzzed around Liesel’s head. She swatted at it, and when she did she looked up the trail at the far end of the clearing. “Look up the hill, Andy! The crack in that rock looks roughly diamond-shaped.”
“It sure does,” Andy agreed with a smile. “Unless the light hits it just right it’s hard to see. Let’s check it out.”

Great idea! Though I'm still curious as to whether those were real diamonds buried there by someone else, or just part of the hunt.
These two seem to be working extremely well together. But will it last?

They do try to think of everything! I hope the time they spent digging the false holes won't cost them later...enjoyed the snippet!
