“I doubt that. I don’t think there are any diamonds in the wilderness.”
Andy had the audacity to laugh at her. “This isn’t exactly wilderness. We’re only a few miles from the park nature center.
“Close enough. I doubt that we’ll find a store selling diamonds in the state park either.”
“You’re probably right about that, but chances are there’s a town or business nearby called Diamonds.”
Liesel thought for a moment. “Maybe the little store we saw at the campground sells minerals.

Diamondback! What a great jump of logic. I wouldn't be putting my hand in there!

ReplyDeleteI don't mind snakes, but not a rattlesnake. Hopefully the coordinates are on or in the cage that's visible without having to risk a bite. Nice snippet!
ReplyDeleteNo way would I put my hand in there! The slapping of the mosquito was a good touch, too. I hate those pesky insects.
